Audit Access to Self-Paced courses on the edX.org platform expires after the estimated course duration, which for MMFin courses is 12 weeks. This means that a learner enrolling in a Self-Paced MMFin course on the Audit (free) track will gain access to the Course Content for only 12 weeks—starting either upon enrollment or as soon as the course session starts—whichever occurs later. For more information, please see this FAQ article
If you plan to apply for Financial Assistance in an MMFin course, but your Audit Access will expire before the start of the next Financial Assistance Application Period or before Financial Assistance Awards are next released, rest assured that all of the course progress you made will be restored upon upgrading to the Verified/Certificate (Paid) track.
Critical Information: If you plan to apply for Financial Assistance to help pay for an MMFin course, you must complete the course's first three Graded Problem Sets and you must earn a minimum score of 80% for each Graded Problem Set before your Audit Access expires.
If you do not complete all of the first three Graded Problem Sets before your Audit Access Expires, or if you do not earn a score of at least 80% on all three Graded Problem Sets, you will not be eligible to apply for Financial Assistance in that course session. You will not be able to apply for Financial Assistance in that MMFin course again until the next session of the course, which may not start for another year or more.
