Yes! The DEDP program allows and encourages learners to take the courses as many times as they wish, to achieve their target course score. There is no penalty for repeating a DEDP course.
Your MicroMasters Portal Dashboard will always store and display only the highest score you have achieved for each DEDP course and its associated Proctored Exam. Your DEDP program record will likewise only display the highest scores you achieve. If you retake a DEDP course and do not earn a higher score than you have already achieved, your Portal Dashboard and Program Record will not change. If you retake a DEDP course and earn a higher score, then your Portal Dashboard and Program Record will change to reflect the higher score.
Please note: Because coursework, including assignments and assessments, cannot be carried over between course sessions, so when you retake a course you will need to complete all of that course's assignments and assessments again.
If you have submitted payment for a DEDP course, your payment entitles you to one attempt at the Proctored Exam for that course—once you have earned a passing score in the online course. Your Proctored Exam attempt will remain valid until you use it to attempt the Proctored Exam, and you will only be required to submit payment again if you wish to attempt the Proctored Exam an additional time.
