New Elective Course Good Economics for Hard Times
The MITx MicroMasters program in Data, Economics, and Design of Policy is happy to announce that a new DEDP Elective Course will be available starting in the Summer 2022 semester, from May 31, 2022!
The new course, 14.009x Good Economics for Hard Times, is an introductory-level elective course, joining the existing Introductory Elective 14.73x Challenges of Global Poverty.
Based on the recent book of the same name, Good Economics for Hard Times, which specifically addresses today’s most pressing issues in the United States and other advanced economies, the course provides a broad survey of many strands of the current literature in applied economics. For more information, please visit the course page!
Good Economics for Hard Times is currently scheduled to be offered in each DEDP Summer semester. The most current, up-to-date information about the DEDP schedule of course availability, including important dates, and deadlines, is always available on the DEDP News & Course Dates page.
All learners are welcome to enroll in and complete the new course, 14.009x Good Economics for Hard Times, but please be aware that if you have already completed the other Introductory Elective course, 14.73x Challenges of Global Poverty, completing 14.009x will not count toward your DEDP Program Credential.
