The Blended Master's in Supply Chain Management (SCMb) is a program offered by MIT that allows learners to combine the MITx MicroMasters program credential with one or more semesters of study at MIT's campuses in Cambridge, USA, or Zaragoza, Spain to earn a graduate degree. The program is designed to provide an integrated learning experience that combines online coursework with on-campus learning.
To be eligible for the SCMb program, learners must successfully complete the MITx MicroMasters program credential in Supply Chain Management, earning the Program Credential. This requires passing five rigorous online courses in supply chain management and a proctored comprehensive final exam. Learners who earn the MicroMasters Program Credential and also hold an undergraduate degree may apply to MIT for admission to the SCMb program.
The SCMb program offers two degree options:
-
Master of Applied Science in Supply Chain Management (MASc-SCM): This option is suitable for students who intend to pursue careers in industry or consulting upon graduation.
-
Master of Engineering in Supply Chain Management (MEng-SCM): This option is more research-focused and is designed for students who wish to continue their studies in research or pursue a Ph.D. program.
The SCMb program at MIT Cambridge requires students to attend courses on campus from January through May, with graduation taking place at the beginning of June. The program provides students with a comprehensive and immersive learning experience in supply chain management.
