As a student of the Blended Master's in Supply Chain Management Program (SCMb) at the MIT campus, your semester will be a rigorous and immersive experience. During your in-residence period, you will have a combination of courses specifically designed and conducted for the SCMb cohort, as well as courses that you will take alongside other MIT SCM students.
The full-time semester at MIT will be intense and demanding. You will be required to complete a total of 36 units of classwork, which may include a mix of core and elective courses, workshops, and seminars. Additionally, you will need to undertake a research thesis, which carries a weight of 12 units. The thesis will require independent research and analysis on a topic within the field of supply chain management.
Your semester will begin in January during the Independent Activities Period (IAP), which is a special term at MIT dedicated to non-traditional education activities. This period will provide an opportunity for orientation, getting acquainted with the other student cohorts, and earning some credits.
You will then continue your studies from January through May, attending classes, participating in discussions, and engaging in various academic activities. The semester will culminate with the presentation of final theses and graduation in June.
It's important to note that the semester as an SCMb student will be intense and require focused dedication to successfully complete the required coursework and research thesis.
