Learners who are awarded Financial Assistance will receive a congratulations email, containing the information and instructions to apply their Assistance, when Financial Assistance Decisions are released after each Application Period. Learners who submitted a complete Application but were not awarded Financial Assistance will receive a condolences email.
Financial Assistance Decisions are made in the month following each Application Period, and Awards are distributed to selected learners by no later than the 15th day. For example, Financial Assistance Awards for the January Application Period are distributed in February, by no later than February 15th.
If you submit a complete Financial Assistance Application during one of the four Application Periods (the months of January, April, July, and October), your application will be evaluated by the MMFin team in the following month. If you are determined to be eligible for assistance, you may receive assistance—depending on the number of other eligible applicants.
A limited number of Financial Assistance Awards are available for each MMFin course during each Financial Assistance Cycle. If the number of eligible applicants for a course exceeds the number of awards available for that course during a cycle, a random lottery will be conducted to select which applicants will receive an assistance award. All learners whose applications meet the Eligibility Criteria will be entered into the lottery drawing, and award recipients will be chosen randomly.
Important Note: MMFin Financial Assistance Coupons must be used to upgrade your enrollment before the start of the next Application Period. Coupons expire at the end of the month they are issued. For example, if you submit a Financial Assistance Application during the July 2025 Application Period, and you are awarded an Assistance Coupon in August 2025, you must use that coupon to upgrade your course enrollment by August 31, 2025.
