Yes, to earn the MITx MicroMasters program credential in Principles of Manufacturing, you must be a verified learner. This means you need to receive a Verified Certificate in each of the eight Principles of Manufacturing courses.
To obtain a verified certificate, you must complete the payment for each course before the payment deadline and achieve a passing score in the course. Additionally, there are four virtually proctored final exams that you must pass in order to receive the program credential. These exams are administered within four of the courses in the program.
The courses that include a proctored final exam are:
- Manufacturing Process Control II
- Manufacturing Systems II
- Management in Engineering: Strategy and Leadership
- Supply Chains for Manufacturing: Capacity Analytics
To earn a verified certificate, you need to complete the course as a verified learner and pass the final exam. Only scores achieved as a verified learner will count towards earning a Verified Certificate. If you do not pass a course or wish to retake a course to improve your score, you will need to make the payment again for that course.
