To complete the MITx MicroMasters Program Credential in Statistics and Data Science, you must earn the Course Certificates for all four courses constituting one of the four Program Tracks and then earn the Course Certificate for the SDS Capstone Exam.
To earn the Course Certificate for an SDS course (including the Capstone Exam), you must take the course on the Verified/Certificate (Paid) enrollment track and earn a passing score.
The four SDS MicroMasters Program Tracks are:
All four Program Tracks include the two shared Core Courses—6.431x Probability and 6.86x Machine Learning; two other specific courses, determined by the Track; and the Capstone Exam course—which can only be completed after having earned the Course Certificate for the Track's other four courses.

Important Details:
Valid Program Tracks
To be eligible to take the Capstone Exam and complete the MicroMasters Program, you must complete both of the shared Core Courses and two track-specific courses from the same Program Track—you cannot simply choose any two non-core courses.
For example, if in addition to the two Core Courses, 6.431x and 6.86x, you earned the Course Certificates for 14.310Fx & 6.419x, or for 6.419x & IDS.S24x you would not be eligible to take the Capstone Exam and complete the program—because in both cases the two Track Courses courses do not constitute a valid Program Track. In either case, you would need to earn the Course Certificate from one of the two other non-core courses to become eligible to take the Capstone Exam course and complete the Program Credential.
The Social Sciences Courses 14.310x & 14.310Fx
Learners pursuing the Social Sciences and Time Series and Social Sciences Program Tracks must earn the Course Certificate for 14.310Fx Data Analysis in Social Science: Assessing Your Knowledge. The logistics of this course are nontrivially complex, however. It is split into two parts: the Content Course (14.310x) which contains Course Material and does not award a Course Certificate; and the Assessment Course (14.310Fx), which contains the Final Exam and awards a Course Certificate.
Learners must take both courses and the Content Course must be completed first. The Assessment Course can only be taken after completion of the Content Course. See this FAQ article for details about these courses
The SDS Capstone Exam
The Capstone Exam course serves as a final, overall assessment for the SDS MicroMasters Program, comprising a set of four virtually-proctored cumulative exams that cover all the content taught in the program's Content Courses. Only once you have earned the Course Certificates for all four of a Program Track's Content Courses will you become eligible to take the Capstone Exam.
Once you pass the SDS Capstone Exam course you will earn its Course Certificate, you will also automatically receive the MITx MicroMasters Program Credential in Statistics and Data Science!
