The DEDP MicroMasters program is delivered through the MITx Online learning platform, and there is no formal application or admission process for the Program. You can enroll in one or both of the DEDP MicroMasters Program's Program Tracks—but you must enroll in DEDP courses individually.
To enroll in a DEDP Program Track, choose which of the two Tracks you wish to pursue (or both!) and visit the MITx Online Program Page, linked below:
- Data, Economics, and Design of Policy: International Development Track
- Data, Economics, and Design of Policy: Public Policy Track
Click the "Enroll now" button to enroll in your chosen DEDP Program Track(s).
You must enroll in DEDP MicroMasters Courses Individually, which you can do by following the instructions below.
Please Note that, to complete the DEDP MicroMasters Program and earn the Program Credential, you must earn the MicroMasters Course Certificate for five DEDP courses (depending on which Program Track you choose) by enrolling in the courses, submitting payment for them, completing Coursework and taking the Proctored Exam, and earning a passing Course Score.

How to Get Financial Assistance
Financial Assistance is available for the DEDP MicroMasters Program, in the form of a Personal Course Price. The DEDP program uses personalized course pricing based on income level to make world-class education available to learners worldwide. Unlike other courses on the MITx Online Platform, you only need to submit one Financial Assistance application for the whole DEDP MicroMasters Program—you do not need to apply for each individual course or course session.
To receive apply for Financial Assistance for the DEDP MicroMasters Program, either click the “Financial assistance available” link in sidebar box of the Course Page or the “Need financial assistance?” link in the Enrollment Track popup (see image above) to start the Personalized Price calculation process. The Financial Assistance process will require you to submit personal and financial information, and you may be asked to submit financial documentation to verify your income.
While you wait for your Financial Assistance application to be processed, we strongly recommend that you enroll in your DEDP course(s) on the Audit (free) enrollment track. While you have until the Payment Deadline for a course session to submit payment, any Coursework you miss because you waited to enroll in a course until your Personal Price was approved cannot be submitted for course credit!
Follow the directions to complete the process and submit your application. It may take up to one business week or more for the DEDP team to process your Financial Assistance application. Once your Financial Assistance application has been processed by the DEDP team, you will receive an email informing you of the outcome.
If you Financial Assistance application is approved, a Personalized Course Price will be approved for you, and you will be able to submit payment for the course. For a full description of the process, please see this FAQ article, and for more information about DEDP Financial Assistance and Personalized Pricing, please visit the Financial Assistance and Personalized Pricing section of this FAQ.
