While the primary factor in DEDP Master's Program admissions decisions is a learner's performance in the DEDP MicroMasters courses—and therefore the best way to improve the likelihood you will be admitted into the DEDP Master's Program is to earn the best scores you can—high scores alone are no guarantee of admission.
The admissions committee considers all aspects of each application—such as work experience—to create the best cohort possible.
In general, however, we recommend that learners achieve a score of at least 85% in all DEDP MicroMasters courses and their Proctored Exams in order to apply to the Master's program.
The DEDP Master's Program awards a full Master's degree from MIT and, as such, is as competitive and rigorous as other MIT Master's programs. As with other graduate degree programs, the cohort size is limited, so there are a limited number of spots available in each year's cohort. However, because the program is open only to those who have earned the DEDP MicroMasters Program Credential, the applicant pool is smaller than many other similar programs.
For a look at the current DEDP Master's cohort, including student bios and some demographic information, take a look at the Current Students page on the program's website.
Unfortunately, because the DEDP Master's program is so new, the DEDP team does not yet have admissions data ready to release.
