The DEDP Master’s Program application period opens in November or December each year and closes in mid-January. Once the exact dates of the application period are released each year, they are posted on the Department of Economics page on the Admissions Tab.
Applications are made for admission to the following year's spring cohort. For example, students who are part of the Spring 2022 cohort applied during the December 2020 - January 2021 application period.
This means that learners who have successfully completed the full DEDP MicroMasters Program and earned the Program Credential by the end of the Fall 2023 Proctored Exam session, in December 2023, will be able to apply to the Spring 2024 cohort of the DEDP Master's program. Applications will open in November/December 2023 and the application deadline will be in mid-January 2024. Scores from the December 2023 exams will be available in time for learners who complete their last courses in the Fall 2023 term to include in their Master's application.
The DEDP Master's Program admissions team typically releases acceptance decisions by mid-March—about one month after the end of the application period. Learners will then have ample time to decide whether to enroll, decline, or defer their acceptance to the program.
