The grading policy for the SDS Capstone Exam is as follows:
Each of the four component exams within the Capstone Exam course carries a weight of 25% toward the total score. This means that each exam contributes equally to the overall evaluation.
To pass the Capstone Exam course and earn a certificate, you need to achieve a total score of at least 50%. This requirement ensures that you have demonstrated an adequate level of proficiency in the subject matter covered by the exam.
In addition to the raw percentage score, you will also receive a letter grade for the Capstone Exam course. The letter grades assigned are A, B, C, or F, based on your performance in the exams.
It's important to note that while the certificate you receive for the Capstone Exam course (as well as for all the other courses in the program) does not explicitly display the percentage or the letter grade, the sharable program record on your edX profile will include both the percentage and the letter grade, providing a comprehensive overview of your achievement in the program.
By adhering to the grading policy and striving to meet the minimum passing score, you can successfully complete the SDS Capstone Exam and earn your certificate.
