In order to pass a DEDP MicroMasters Course and earn a MicroMasters Course Certificate, a learner must do all of the following:
- Enroll in a session of the course
- Upgrade that course session to the Verified (Paid) track by submitting payment before the Payment Deadline

- Sit for the course’s Proctored Exam (or import a Proctored Exam Score from a previous course session)

For each DEDP MicroMasters course session, scores are calculated as follows:

- The Proctored Exam Score comprises solely the score earned for the Proctored Exam
- The Total Course Grade is a weighted average of both the Coursework Score and the Proctored Exam Score
- The Coursework Score is worth 30% of the Total Course Grade
- The Proctored Exam Score is worth 70% of the Total Course Grade
- The passing score threshold is a Total Course Grade of 50% or higher
