All of our MITx MicroMasters courses are delivered online-only. To provide for maximum flexibility in our learners' schedules, the video content of the courses is pre-recorded. This means that you will be able to view the released course content and work on released assignments at any time of day or day of the week—you do not have to log on at specific times to view the course content. To learn more about the benefits of this course structure, please consider this piece from The Curve - Ask MIT Experts: Understanding the Advantages of Asynchronous Learning.
In-course discussion forums are available for each course. The course TA team monitors these forums regularly in order to provide support for learners. Direct contact information for the course TA team is also available to Verified learners on the Paid track.
MicroMasters courses have schedules designed by their instruction teams. Course content becomes available only after the start date of the course session and is then released on a schedule unique to each course, typically weekly. Course schedules are released during the first week of each course. Assignment deadlines are strict—assignments cannot be submitted late for any reason. For this reason, it is not possible to earn credit for assignments you have missed. The course has a strict end date at which point the live aspects of the course, such as the discussion forums will close.
