Is it possible to get a refund for a DEDP course?

Yes, refunds will be granted to learners who request it within the refund eligibility period of fourteen (14) days after the date of payment or fourteen (14) days after the start date of the course session for which the payment was made, whichever comes later.

As of September 2022, payments for DEDP courses are tied to a specific course session. Payments made for a DEDP course made prior to the term's Payment Deadline apply to that term only.

It is no longer possible to submit payment for a DEDP course but take the Proctored Exam at the end of a future term of the learner's choice. Payment made for a DEDP course applies only to that specific session of the course, allowing a learner to take that course's Proctored Exam at the end of that paid-for course session only. For more information about these changes, please refer to this FAQ article.

In order to submit payment for a DEDP course, you must first enroll in that course session. Your refund deadline is based on the date of your payment and the start date of the DEDP term in which you submitted payment.

For example, the following scenarios are possible:

• If you enroll and pay any time before the start date of the course session, your refund deadline is 14 days after the start date of the course session.
• If you pay after the start date of the course session, your refund deadline is two weeks after the date of payment.

If you do not submit payment for a course before the term's Payment Deadline, you will need to re-enroll in a future session of the course and submit payment for that future course session.

If your payment falls within the refund eligibility period, in order to obtain a refund you must reach out to DEDP MicroMasters Support at [e-mail] and officially request your refund. Please note, all refund requests must be submitted via email within the refund eligibility period in order to be considered. Any requests submitted after the end of the refund eligibility period will not be eligible for a refund.
