Please note: DEDP Personal Prices changed on March 13, 2021. Learners who had previously received a personal price of $100 or $250 USD in the past have been automatically reissued new prices to fit the current scheme. Please reach out to us if you have any questions.
The Data, Economics, and Development Policy MicroMasters program offers personalized pricing. The price of each course is determined for each learner based on the learner's income. As part of the DEDP Program enrollment process, you will be prompted to enter your financial information on your MicroMasters Portal Dashboard to receive a personalized course price.
If you have already created a MicroMasters Portal account, and have not yet entered your financial information, or need to update your financial information to receive a new personal price, please reach out to DEDP MicroMasters Support at dedp-micromasters-support@mit.edu and we will reset your financial calculator.
The current DEDP Personal Pricing system is this:
Annual Household Income — Price per DEDP Course
- $0 to less than $25,000 USD — $250 USD per course
- $25,000 to less than $50,000 USD — $350USD per course
- $50,000 to less than $75,000 USD — $500 USD per course
- Over $75,000 USD — $1,000 USD per course
In addition to the personalized price, a limited number of $100 course USD price coupons will be awarded by lottery each semester to a few learners who earn less than $10,000 USD per year. A learner may only win one coupon (applicable to one course) per semester in this manner. For more information please see the FAQ section About the $100 Course Price Coupon Lottery.
Please also note: You are also welcome to start the DEDP program by taking courses for free, on the Audit track, and submitting payment later.
